A little while ago we had a company outing with a special theme: Build a bicycle for Kenya. All we were given per team was a frame and some parts. The rest we had to save together with quiz questions and by bartering. Besides getting to know each other better and sometimes in a different (more fanatical) way, we supported a good cause with this outing. The nice thing was that not necessarily our Sales colleagues were the best negotiators (but some fanatical developers). And actually, none of us could put together a decent bike. Fortunately, these were not shipped immediately!
Team building for a better future in Africa!
Earlier you read in our news that Ubeeo wholeheartedly supports a number of charities. With this outing, we are contributing to development aid for Kenya. We received a great update from the Tools to Work foundation! Today we proudly share the result of our joint efforts!
Thanks to our efforts, containers full of bicycles have been shipped to Africa, and reconditioned sewing and knitting machines have also found a new destination. These tools are of great importance to vocational schools in Africa.
The highlight? The container sent in May 2024 has now arrived safely in Kenya! It’s great to see the pictures of the bikes actually being sent to Africa. The foundation is already busy with the next shipment, and we are proud to have been able to contribute to it.
