A personal look at our onboarding

Ubeeo onboarding 2024

There you are, on the sidewalk at the oh so beautiful Hulstkamp building starting a new job as Customer Support Specialist. A month ago you didn’t know of Ubeeo ‘s existence and now you’re going to work there. Fortunately I was allowed to join the company outing and I got to know most of the colleagues already, but still it’s exciting. There I also caught something about a bingo card that I should complete during my probationary period, now I’m very curious!
After receiving the bingo card, my first day of work could begin. The bingo card was made especially for me and has 25 boxes to complete. From answering my first support chat, getting lunch at the Spar to tapping my first beer. Everything is on it! A nice mix of actual tasks that relate to my job and the fun things Ubeeo brings around that.

Easy integration.

It helped tremendously to “integrate” myself within Ubeeo. Everything and everyone constantly asked for the bingo card which made me feel very involved. It’s very approachable to get in touch with colleagues this way and start a conversation. For something as simple as “Add a song to the Ubeeo Spotify playlist” you soon have to talk to several people about how to do this (and whether my music taste is any good 🙂 ). But the serious tasks on the card were also useful. For example, I had to use the internal issues channel to find out the solution to a question/problem. This allowed me to see right away who was involved in a specific question and how it was resolved. Very instructive for next time, where I can then possibly do it myself or know who to turn to.

I was also given a set of handy cards which, in a nutshell, told me exactly which team is responsible for which parts. That way, when I was contacted about the candidate portal, I knew I had to go to team FrontOffice! This set of cards was especially helpful with the teams that were a little more unclear to me such as DevOps and Core-Integrations.

Bingo!

Meanwhile, the bingo card is full! Everything has been achieved, with stickers as proof. I found it a very nice way to start. If your own organization could also use such a nice addition to the onboarding process, I definitely recommend it! I, Huib, am now fully part of Ubeeo and you’ll see me when you have a pressing question or run into a problem. See you then!
